Chains

Chains at the mill.

More Stover's Mill

I don't know what this is or what it was used for. Some kind of vice maybe? Perhaps a very large nutcracker?

More Signs

This one is self explanatory. It's the pig outside Blooming Glen pork store in Blooming Glen on rt. 113. Several years ago, someone swiped it. It was eventually returned. It's kind of a landmark. They sell the best bacon in Bucks County.

Signs

I like signs for businesses that depict what they sell. some of them can be very creative. This one is out side a flower shop on Callowhill road in Perkasie.

Ralph Stover

Found this old picture of me climbing at High Rocks in Ralph Stover State Park. That was fun! Almost stepped on a copperhead last september at the top of these cliffs...didn't get a picture.

Celtic Fest

I volunteered to work at The Celtic Fest in Bethlehem this year. Just got my schedule today! It's one of the biggest celtic festivals around. I'll be walking past The Hotel and the old waterworks building on my way to the festival grounds. I'll be in The Ice House seating people for Burning Bridget Cleary. Gaelic Storm(the band that was in the movie "Titanic"), is closing the festival! They really kick!

Blooming Glen Covered Bridge

This covered bridge is a little closer to home. It's at the intersection of Blooming Glen Rd. and Branch near B.C.C.C. campus in Perkasie and down the street from Pennridge High School. About 7 years ago, some kids set the original bridge on fire and completely destroyed it. This is the re-built version. Pretty true to the original.

Stover's Mill

After you cross the covered bridge, the road continues in a bumpy fashion until you reach Stover's Mill. Originally powered by water, the owners converted to steam to keep the mill economically successful until around 1955 I think. It was in operation for 150 years. Now it is in the process of restoration.

Cabin Run Covered Bridge

If you travel towards Ralph Stover State Park and ride along the Tohickon Creek, you will pass over this covered bridge. I almost always see people fishing in the creek. It's a very nice setting!
