Sellersville Theater 1894

As you travel further into town, past the old mill and firehouse, you will come to The Washington House Restaurant. Behind the restaurant sits an old stable which was at first converted into a movie theater and is now known as The Sellersville Theater.

It is becoming quite a well-known music venue that features a lot of acts from the sixties and seventies, as well as new talent. Some of the coming artists are Herman's Hermits, Dave Mason, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds.

Phonebooth

Right outside of the pizza shop is one of these; a full size phonebooth. These are rapidly disappearing from the landscape. I used them quite a bit before the advent of cell phones.

Chiaro's Pizza

If you travel further down the hill into town and find yourself getting hungry, Chiaro's has the best pizza in Sellersville. Eat-in or drive thru.

Schulmerich Carillions

Another view of the bell factory.

Liberty Trail

The story is that colonists moved the Liberty Bell from Philadelphia to Allentown to keep it from being captured by the British. They moved it via Bethlehem Pike which is a few blocks from my house. There is a sign marking the trail right outside this bell factory. I think it's interesting that they still make bells here. They have a replica Liberty Bell out front and sometimes have bell concerts. This is on the hill before you head into Sellersville.

Wawa

One of the nice things about living around here is that every few miles, there is a Wawa store! (Taken with Samsung Juke.)

Lake Galena (Peace Valley Park)

I go here a lot. Very nice place to have a picnic, enjoy the day, collect your thoughts.....

California Road

I get to look at this every day. It's like a changing landscape. The artist is moving away from organic forms and is getting more linear judging by the new additions in the middle. Exciting!

Tabora Farm Store

There is also a beehive inside the store.

Tabora Farm Store

Walking in the side on the front porch, I am greeted by these guys.

Tabora Farm Store

This farm store is over by Pearl S. Buck's house and Lake Galena. They have very good cookies.

This Week

Summertime and a good time for riding the motorcycle and stopping along the way to take some pictures. Travelling the ancient roads in Bucks County is always an adventure! These guitars were at The Sellersville Fireman's Carnival last week.
